Why do smoke detectors go off for no reason?

They may require cleaning of the dust built up.Vacuum If the smoke detectors are 10 years or older, you should think about replacing it. If it happens in the summer then assume it is a false alarm, though always make sure. If it happens in the winter it might be a true alarm because you might have used a heater etc.

What about the spring and autumn?

And how do smoke detectors get affected by climate change? There might be seasonal patterns which would affect them.

Your winter and summer tips sound like common sense.

Dust can be a major irritation and annoyance, especially for those who might have allergies.

How do you get up there to vacuum the detectors?

well you can just get up on a ladder and just take the vacuum cleaner and just take that long thing and suck up the dust.
